Before Day 1 - Kennedy Space Centre (KSC) - We went to the KSC and we got to see so many rockets, really big ones, medium ones and small ones. Going to the KSC was really cool, because that you don't experience alot. We got to go in this simulator which gives you the feeling of taking off in a rocket...I was nervous at first, but it was really cool in the end. I got a space monkey as a souvenir, he's wearing a little space suit and I named him apollo because of the rockets named apollo that went on many trips to space. I learned that there was apollo 1 thru 17. Favorite part of the day - seeing all the different rockets/space shuttles.
Day 1 - Boarding the Ship - When I first saw the ship I thought it was HUGE! I figured I would never get through the whole thing but it turns out I saw quite a bit. Taking off wasn't bad. I thought it was really cool to see our rooms and the flow rider (boogie boarding/surfing ride on the top of the ship), I really want to try it. I was very dizzy from the ship rocking, but I had a great sleep. Favorite part of the day - The whole ship; seeing it, going on it, and seeing all the cool stuff inside.
Day 2 - Out at sea - I was still a little dizzy today but not as bad as yesterday. We went to the pools, Johnny Rockets (50's style diner), arcade, and played minigolf. We went to this really fun game show called Majority Rules, it was sooo much fun! After dinner, we went to the musical-ish play about classic broadway shows. Favorite part of the day - Majority rules game show.
Day 3- Lababee, Haiti - Today was so much fun! First we got to go on a Snorkel Safari, which was so fun. I saw a few different fish, coral, sea eurchin, sea cucumber, jelly fish, and a sand dollar, etc. Then we went to the beach for a little while, which was probably the worst part of the day because I got sand in my bathing suit (not comfortable) and my pants fell in the ocean. Then we went on our Haitian cultural tour that took us (by little boat) to Paradise Cove. We got to see lots of plants and trees like sugar cane, lemon grass, banana & mango trees, etc. We saw 3 different houses; the first house was a grass hut, 2nd house a lady was making peanut butter with pepper, it was really good and spicy, and the 3rd house a lady was grinding coffee beans. Then we got to see these men making Yuca bread from the root of the Yuca plant. When the tour was over, we got to hang on the beach of paradise. I was in the ocean most of the time; I really liked it in the ocean because the water was warm, the sand was really soft and it was fun. When we got back to the ship, Taylor and I went ice skating. Favorite part of the day - going to paradise.
Tomorrow we'll be in Jamiaca, and swimming with the dolphins. I'll write soon.
