We awoke to a morning of fog and cool temperatures. Marilyn & I sat with our morning coffee and the fireplace.
We finished off the entire pot of coffee before we started on our day.
We cleaned and straightened up things in the RV. I repaired a chair, and we spent the entire morning together, just living our life as full-time RV’ers.
Marilyn did a couple loads of laundry and I went out to dump the holding tanks.
We visited with Roger & Renee, who walked down to see us, and talked with our other friends at various times during the day.
In the afternoon, we walked over to Elgin & Cathy’s site for a cocktail party.
Everyone brought a snack and the tables were covered with delicious foods of the snack variety.
We sat around in a huge circle, mainly, but with several smaller circles of friends, talking and eating, with a variety of cold drinks.
The temperature was forecast to reach 77 degrees today, but I doubt if it reached much past 60 degrees at any time.
Irene placed a call to check on the Los Ebanos ferry, as we wanted to see if it would be running tomorrow.
The answer was “Yes”, so we have an adventure planned for tomorrow morning.
Most of our group will be loading up the bikes and driving over to the little town of Sullivan, where we will walk our bikes onto the hand pulled ferry across the Rio Grande River.
We’ll then ride our bikes into town, have lunch, and return in the afternoon.
I’ll be writing about that adventure tomorrow, once we arrive back home.
We had a nice time at Elgin & Cathy’s today, and it was good to have the entire group together.
Once the temperature began to fall, it seemed to get cool quite rapidly, and the party broke up, with people gathering their “stuff” and heading for home.
We are all snug and comfortable in our little home on wheels, and ready for another adventure tomorrow.
I wonder what that day has in store…..
