Hi -

In 1980-81 I spent six months south of the Equator in Tahiti, Australia and New Zealand.

New Zealand remains one of my most enjoyable memories of travel.

Now I'm back.

I'm taking a Road Trip through South Island with four other people. We're headed South to celebrate an old friend's 60th birthday. Along the way we check out the bounty of New Zealand's landscape and heritage - from fiords, ferns and forests to abandoned gold mines, antique cars, alpine villages, vineyards.

The beauty is still there. And the people are just as nice. But now you can get an espresso anywhere, the wines are amazing, and there are more than two kinds of cheese.

It still rains. A lot.

If there's one country on earth I'd recommend it would be New Zealand.

Nuff said,

The Geezer
