| Got a late start this morning as Denny had one of his 8 hour coumadin bloody noses. I did get a geo though right where we parked for the night. Going through Texas we stopped and saw the famous BIG CROSS in the town of Groom and Denny rejoiced at the chance to get close for pictures. Then we stopped in Amarillo at the Big Texan Steak House and had a steak dinner for lunch and found a geo there also. Our next stop was the "Midway Point" for Route 66. There is 1139 miles either way from here. Another geo too. Went 40 miles into New Mexico and spent the night at a Flying J truck stop. Darn, no casino tonight. |
