Barb & Dave's Trip to the South Pacific travel blog

November 28

We stayed in a little place called Tinopai Community Campground. It was secluded and we had the campground almost to ourselves.

We got up showered and had a leisurely breakfast and started our journey back to Auckland. We stopped at a village called Warkworth and had a Hokey Pokey ice cream cone. This is supposed to be a NZ must have. We travelled a short distance and stopped at an historic village called Puhoi. The shuttle driver who took us to get our RV said we had to stop at the pub there. It definitely was unique. The whole place is covered with memorabilia. Lunch and a drink were great. Then it was off to the airport to pick up Dave and Bridget.

We had no problem picking up Dave and Bridget. Then it was off and heading south. After a few wrong turns we ended up in Miranda and stayed in a campground with hot springs. We got directions to go to the pub down the road and had a great fish dinner. We came back, set up the sleeping arrangements and went to bed.
