| We had planned on making the final 275 miles in one long drive but since Pat was still not feeling really well, we stopped at Owassa, AL which is a little more than 1/2 the way. The Owassa RV Park was just 1 2/2 miles off Hwy 65. This exit consisted of two gas stations a few houses and the RV Park. Since neither of us wanted to cook we decided to go to Evergreen, AL about 6 miles further down Hwy 65. At that location we had out chouce of McDonalds, Burger King, Hardees, Kentucky Fried, a Mexican restaurant with no cars in the lot and a Subway Sandwich shop at one of the gas stations. All were not really what we had in mind so we chose Subway. The next morning we got going fairly early on the final trip to Gulf Shores. |
