We attended the Veteran’s Day parade in Albany, supposedly the largest parade east of the Mississippi. Several hours long. Cal’s brother Roger, how is a Harley Davidson rider, was the first of hundreds of Harley riders that led the parade, and he carried the flag. Pretty cool.
As usual, we sat up on the deck of the Avalanche and watch the parade with Brandi sitting on the tailgate. The Princess ‘Holds Court’ there, because people on the sidewalk cannot resist her. She loves the attention.
After the parade, we jumped in the packed motor home and took off for 7 Feathers. This was meant to be a test of Cal’s ability to work from the motor home. So after we arrived, he set up the computer, connected to the office network, and did whatever he normally does. With WiFi at the RV Park, Cal could be on a Live Meeting AND talk on his cell at the same time. Looks like this will work. The Cell phone extender seems to improve the signal too.
We tried out the exercise room and the pool and hot tub. All seemed to work well, but no significant weight loss was documented. One can only hope.
We had to try the $8.99 Rib-Eye Steak dinner special again. Not the best steak, but very good, and the entire meal was more than enough. After dinner, we thought we would donate to the Native American Monetary Fund (gambling in the casino). After have little luck, Cal found a machine that just would not stop paying. He actually walked out nearly $250 ahead ! Amazing. So, after a nice drive home, we ended up paying for the RV park and fuel with Cal’s winnings! THAT, does not often happen to us….and it
spells G o o d T r i p !
