Texas sunrise on a humid morning

Crossing on the ferry from Mustang Island

This "RV park" looks very "rustic"

Aransas Pass

Early yesterday morning, in heavy humidity, we left the beach and headed back to New Braunfels. The sun was blood red in the sky as it came up over the distant fog. The air was so heavy that it looked like fog or mist, but it was just the humidity.

Once we were about 100 miles from the coast, all of a sudden the temperature changed, the air became cooler and the humidity was gone - or at least, more bearable. It was really a big relief to get back to cooler air.

John watched football while I spent the afternoon on the computer and reading the Sunday paper. Last night, I joined Zac and Devon for a late movie. We saw Fourth Kind, which is about alien abductions in Nome, Alaska. It is supposedly based on real events and contains actual footage of several people who were questioned while hypnotized who claim they were abducted and horrendously examined by alien beings. It was different but I did not find it scarey or for that matter, believable.

Today, we returned to our Texas doctor for routine follow up visits. We also need to go to Walmart to replenish groceries. While John was gone this morning, I cleaned all of the windows and screens inside our home on wheels.

We had a bit of rain and thunder in the night and today, the wind is a little chilly, which is perfect for us. We can always tell when someone we meet on the beach is from Texas; they are wearing a jacket in 70 degree weather. Today would be considered a cold day in Texas and it is about 68 degrees. To me, when it feels good to sit in the sunshine and read, that's just about perfect. Another full timer once told us, if you have to run the AC or the heater, you are in the wrong place - it's time to move.
