| Our flight doesn't leave until 5:30 pm Jamaica time so we have most of the day to enjoy ourselves. Check-out is still noon but the hotel provides a secure room for you to put your luggage if you like, at no charge. **NOTE- User BEWARE: We used this service but we were not told to go and get it at least 30 mins prior to departure so we were rushing last minute to find someone who could unlock the door for us, nor did they tag our luggage, so it was up to us to be honest in what we took out of this room! Our hotel package was under the Royal Golden Club and we had use of a very nice Club room during our stay, providing free internet, a small bar service, daily newspapers, books for reading and concierge service. As well, we were told to go to this room for Express Check-out service. This last item did not work out very well as they did not tell anyone in this group that if you had a room bill to pay or had a safety deposit box , the front desk had to do your check-out. This actually caused some frustration for a number of guests checking out that day. We made sure to have a good lunch before our departure from the resort as we would have to buy ourselves a snack or dinner at the airport. The Jamaica airport is a very new, clean building, very well air-conditioned, with a real variety of shops and restaurants/snack bars so although our flight had been delayed by 90 minutes, we were able to keep ourselves amused for the most part. |
