| For my birthday this year Donna and I took the camper down to Pine Mountain, Ga to the Pine Mountain RV Resort. The park has been purchased by a new group and they have really worked hard at making this a nice RV park. We live a short distance from here so it's going to be a good short getaway spot for us. We didn't leave from the park but there is a wild animal safari, Warm Springs(FDR's retreat), and Callaway Gardens close by so eventually we will get the car hooked up to the camper so we can tow it and visit outside the park. The park was empty as this was the week after Labor Day. The Site was easy to get into and out the landscaping is new and will only get better. The pool area had a hot tub and pool was very nice. We enjoyed everything about the park except the cable. I nearly had a nervous breakdown when I hooked it up and had no ESPN. However, the Richmond race was on ABC and they did have that channel along with TLC, Animal Planet, PBS, Bravo, TLC 2, Animal Planet News, did I mention they had Bravo. Anyway, I have run into poor cable at several Georgia RV parks. I don't know why. We had a good time and might try to get back down there to see the Christmas lights at Callaway Gardens. |
