Day Eight and NineNov 9, 2009

| Well we have been in Mathis for the last two and a half days. I believe in the morning we will go to Corpus Christi. I didn't add anything yesterday because it is so hard to get on line here. On my air card I have on bar. this is not good. Yesterday it rained all day long and we spent most of our time reading and sleeping and loafing. Today it was up and we went into town to do laundry. This is not much of a town actually. I guess we were lucky to find a laundromat. Needless to say it had seen better days. I noticed that of all the buildings in "down-town" Mathis there were only about three or four of them that were actually occupied. Anyway in the morning we will head out for Corpus Christi. Corpus is not very far only about 40 miles so it won't take long. Maybe the flys won't be so bad. They are really bad here. Even as I type this I have about 15 of them buzzing me.
