Crusader walls around the city of Rhodes

big beautiful sailing boats

Dad with 15 stitches in Rhodes

Me not walking in Rhodes

Dad and I not walking in Rhodes

Yep...that's my foot (blood from my calf is pooling in my foot)

Rhodes Greece looked beautiful from the ship. The skies were blue and the city was sparkling from the previous day’s rain. But, my dad and I decided to enjoy Rhodes from the comfort of the top sea deck. Neither one of us was interested in making the journey down the gangplank and then hobble to where the taxi’s were waiting. We admired the people from afar who decided to journey through the wall that surrounds the city of Rhodes. Yep, those pesky Crusaders left their mark on this small pristine island too. Oh well…life has moved on. Everyone said the town was very nice, lots of small shops and cafés. Some people headed toward Lindos…Maybe some other time. I enjoyed taking the time to get my head into the vacation mode. I can feel the peace beginning to emerge in my mind again.
