At the Marketplace

It sure was nice to see our long time friends again, when we met at the BBQ place yesterday evening.

After sharing hugs and greetings we stood in line, ordered our meal and found a table large enough for all of us.

After eating our fill we drove over to the RV resort, where we set up a hot and heavy game of Mexican Train.

Sherry brought some great cranberry cookies to share and that made a nice dessert for all of us.

Marilyn managed to win the game with Sherry finishing a close second. Let’s just say that the rest of us were not so close to the winning score.

It was nearly 10:00 PM when we broke up. Our friends headed back home, some to the motel they are staying in, while Marilyn & I walked back to our RV in the darkness.

I went to bed right away, feeling worn out, but Marilyn stayed up until midnight or so. Both of us slept fitfully and did not awaken feeling refreshed.

We showered and dressed in clean clothing, thinking that we would feel much more energy after a hot shower. The refreshing effect of that lasted until a bit after lunch. Then I began to drag a bit and felt as if I just wanted to go lie down and take a nap.

We decided to join the group for a trip to the Mexican Marketplace, where the gals shopped as the guys found a nice outdoor café to sit and enjoy the perfect weather with a cold beer.

We took some care to be on our way home before the rush hour traffic became too heavy.

The entire group planned to gather at the home of Rick & Sherry, but Marilyn & I opted to remain at the RV where we both changed into our P.J.’s as soon as we walked in the door.

I wanted to get some of this journal entry started, as I plan to drag myself off to bed quite early this evening. Both of us are worn out and just need a good night of sleep to feel our energy level return.

I am yawning and can hardly keep my eyes open as I write this journal, so I do believe I’ll wrap it up, post some pictures, and wait to see what tomorrow has in store…..
