We camped our last night at Balmorhea, a beautiful state park that is an oasis in the desert.

What is most unusual is that a huge swimming was built in the park using the San Solomon Spring. The pool holds 3.5 millions gallons of water. One million gallons of water flow through it every hour and then continue on in the form of a river. The water temperature of the pool is always about 75 degrees. Most of the pool is 20 feet deep.

It was November 1 and we were able to enjoy swimming in the pool. The day was warm and dry. We shared the water with three other people, numerous tiny fish and a few larger ones.

The campsites at the state park were wonderful. As you can see Jerry is doing his chores of taking off the electrical cord and water to our RV before we leave to go to New Mexico.
