More from yesterday and some pictures

|Yesterday evening we drove over to Mike & Sandy’s beautiful new home. Our trusty GPS led us directly to their door and they were waiting for us.
After an exchange of hugs, we were given a nice tour of their new home, and then a glass of wine. After that we felt right at home as the conversation and laughter never waned.
A delicious meal was shared in the comfort of the dining area, and then Mike entertained us with a wonderful concert on the piano, while Sandy cleared the table.
Mike is a very accomplished pianist and we sure enjoyed his music. He plays by ear although he reads music, too. What a talent!
Sandy served us another treat for dessert, as she shared a home made chocolate pie. What a nice time!
The time passed so fast, and we were enjoying ourselves so much that it was difficult to leave, and we stayed a bit later than we had planned.
Mike & Sandy had to leave today for a long drive to Houston.
Our GPS guided us safely back to the resort and we were soon snuggled warmly under the covers for a good night of sleep.
Once again today, we awoke to the sound of rain on the roof. Rats!
Thankfully it didn’t last into the morning and now the sun is shining brightly, even though the temperatures have remained cool.
We shared our morning coffee with the fireplace providing both heat and ambiance. The ducks and geese entertained us, on the lake outside our picture window. Have I mentioned that this is a nice place? LOL
Marilyn & I were out and about this morning, for some shopping. Marilyn found a spice rack at “Bed, Bath and Beyond”, some ear rings at “Kohl’s” and then picked up some groceries at WalMart.
We were back in our little abode before noon, and relaxed with a good book and the scenery outdoors.
Marilyn fixed some beef ribs with BBQ sauce, in the slow cooker and we ate that with a nice salad for dinner.
We have “hitch itch” again and will spend much of the day tomorrow getting things ready to roll once again.
Because we have no sewer hookups here at our site, we will have to stop at the dump station to take care of that little chore.
We hope to be on the road by 8:30 AM and that should allow us to reach San Antonio by 3:00 PM. We are leaving on Sunday morning to take advantage of the sparse traffic early on Sunday.
We will use I-35 so that we can make good time, as we have 300 miles to go.
We look forward to spending time with long time friends in San Antonio. It will be nice to see these good friends again. We have some of them for more than 50 years.
We plan to arrive at Llano Grande resort in the valley on the following Sunday. Then we can begin the process of getting things in order with the RV and the truck.
Oh well, I am getting ahead of myself. It is better to take each day as it comes and just wait to see what adventures each day has in store…..
