29 Oct Angkor Wat temples

Today we went to see Angkor Thom and the Bayon. We went in from a different direction so it was like seeing them for the 1st time. Getting up to the top of Angkor Thom was much easier this time as they make steps all the way to the top. Steep but much easier to climb. This is the temple with all the heads on it. Got my picture taken with the temple dancers who are stationed at the top. Then on to the Bayon. This is the ruined temples with the trees growing through them. Got lots more pictures, this time from many different angles. Also got my picture taken here in the roots of one of the bigger trees. Went back to the hotel for lunch had a club sandwich which was delicious. Then we went to Angkor Wat for a tour of the grounds and inside the temple. While we were there, I was able to take a tut tut to where the balloons go up. I went with one of the men who was also interested in a view from overhead. It only cost the two of us $2 to go by tut tut and and $15 to go up in the balloon. It was well worth the cost got some great shots of Angkor Wat. Is more impressive to see it from the air. Well we are back at the hotel and are going to dinner soon. Tomorrow we go on an oxen cart ride and then by boat on Tonle Sap Lake to visit a floating fishing village. Then on to the airport for our flight to Bangkok. Will be seeing you soon.

Love Ollie
