Helen is off to Nepal again travel blog

The last few days have been busy, exciting, wonderfully happy and very fruitful. If you remember I mentioned a young German guy while trekking, we became friends and got him booked in the same hotel as Eric and I at a special rate. He donated money to help with buying the lighting system and went off to Chitwan the National Park for a few days.

While there he met a group of people who were travelling round the world, told them about us and what we were doing, they said they would like to meet us and visit the children, but you know what it is like, people run out of time or forget..

The upshot is, they did come to visit, two different groups, one day after the other, they were brilliant with the children and of course the children loved all the attention.

Jo Thompson writes for the Gaurdian and is going to do a piece on what we are trying to do, so loook out for the article, you could perhaps look it up on the internet?

Anyway it was a great two days, they were a terrific group and I really enjoyed their company. Some of them have promised to sponsor a child when they return home, they also gave us donations for which I very grateful, 7,500 rupees goes a long way in Nepal, fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, milk and eggs, the donations ensure a good diet for the children for a couple of weeks.. well done to Oz Tours and thankyou

Jo and Ian also left us a years sponsorship for a child, £360 or 400 dollars, thankyou Jo and Ian.

I have most of their email addresses and we promised to keep in touch, it is amazing the wonderful people I have met this year.

Eric nleft on Monday is now home in drab, cold weather while I sit in the sunshine writing this update.

I am going to finish now, the children are still happy, attending school and catching up with the others in their class, thanks to the tutor who comes in twice a day for two hours!!

Take care everyone,

love

Helen
