Dick & Pat's full-Time RVing Adventures travel blog

Oct.16 was another rainy, windy and cold day. After getting all the dogs out for their morning "business" they were happy to come in and warm up.

SInce it has been two weeks since we last did laundry, we decided to go into town and do laundry. Found a nice Laundry/tanning salon in Somerset. We brought our laundry in then went next door to a "Diner" from the past. Interesting little place with great food. Seemed as if nearly everyone in the diner knew everyone else there. Seemed to be a community gathering spot which was not very big but very busy.

Finished our meal then walked next door to dry and fold the laundry. After that we went for one of our frequent shopping trips.

Just a bit north of us there has been heavy (8" to 10") of snow. We are glad it stayed to our north but we did get some snow mixed with rain.

In the afternoon after the trip to town there were at least a dozen RV's that came in. Seemed to be in several groups since they gathered together in several groups around campfires. They persisted outside in the rain and cold huddled around the campfires.

The people who run this campground have a Haunted Hollow display just across the highway. We could hear the audio screams and sounds. It appears this is an annual halloween farm scene which many area residents and tourists enjoy.
