The time has come to direct our rigs "South"..
The weatherman has indicated that More rain and wind is in the forecast for PEI. Sure enough when we approached the Confederation Bridge we were detained for a short time as the bridge was closed down to "high-sided" vehicles. Usually this does not occur until January or February.. Our destination, St Andrews, NB. for the next morning's encounter with US Customs. It was a very easy crossing at Calais, Maine. No stress!! The elevation heading towards Banger,Maine gave us our first taste of winter....that dreaded sleet on our windshield.
After an overnighter in Saco, Maine we said our goodbyes to Wally and Erna at a rest stop on the "95" near Boston. We will meet-up with them in a few weeks in South Carolina. May their "GPS" keep them out of the tunnels of New York City and guide them safely south.
We are anticipating our visit with Sandra's relatives in West Warwick, RI.(near Providence), and plan to be a in the area for almost two weeks. Weather permitting.. we are looking forward to enjoying the local sights of the area.
