Trekking with Daisy 2009-10 travel blog

Today Barb and I went our separate ways from Junction – she to Texas City and I to Austin. I miss her already. We always have a good time traveling together. I’m sure her family will be glad to see her again. They talk every day and keep asking when she will be home!

Before going to the RV park, I topped off Daisy’s fuel tank. I arrived at the park around 2:00. Happily, the rain had stopped, but I hurried to get set up before it started raining again. I rented the space for four days, until I leave for the three-day LoW campout at Seguin. I need to work with Robert tomorrow to schedule the rest of my stay after the campout.

After I had gotten settled, I took a snapshot of this vacation. From June 28 through today, Daisy accumulated 6,311 miles and Sweet Pea about 2,000 miles on day trips. This is an estimate because I didn’t note Sweet Pea’s mileage on June 28. Total miles driven by both vehicles on this trip equals 8,311. I spent $6,102.27 excluding food and other non-vacation-related items that I would have had to buy anyway. That’s an average of $57.57 per day for travel-related expenses.
