Some Empty Kegs of Beer After I Left the Pub :)

Hello Everyone,

I got up early and set out in the rental car again (yikes) to try and find the Castle Course which is located about 2 miles outside of town. An hour later I arrived after an unplanned tour of the Scottish countryside :) Trust me it's a little confusing driving over here! I got a game right away with two U.S. service men serving in Germany who were on vacation. We had a good time trying our best on a very difficult course with the wind blowing about 15-20 mph. The course is a newer course that is right on the ocean similar to Torrey Pines but with greens that are a combination of Arrowood & the Family Fun Center (Lots of hills, swales and crazy speeds). After the round I drove back into town and this time didn't get lost (yeah!) so I walked over from my B&B to play a round at the Jubilee Course. Maybe I was getting tired but I finally started finding bunkers and losing balls in the severe rough (heather & gorse). It didn't matter because the weather was great and I was playing 36 holes at St. Andrews on a Sunday afternoon! I lightend my bag and got rid of the umbrella and rain gear so...you guessed it, some clouds moved in a few miles away and suddenly I got drenched for about 10 minutes and then it was nice again. I never knew rain could come in sideways like that from a cloud so far away (welcome to Scotland!). I am getting up tomorrow at 4:00 am to stand in line for a shot at a tee time at the Old Course. The starter doesn't even get there until 7:00 but that is what you have to do for a shot at it. Talk to you tomorrow! K
