So begins my stay in Brussels. Not sure quite what to put for my first entry, had it all sorted out in my head before and now I come to write it its all gone out the window. This morning seems ages away from when I was back in England, which is wierd since I've lost an hour. Woke up about seven and was extremely greatful for the bacon butty my nan made me for breakfast, my little cousins were round before going to school and both were amazed that i'd be away till christmas, is christmas really that far away? In between me getting up and leaving for St.Pancreas I was reminded by various relatives that London wasn't a million miles away from Brussels and if there were any problems etc. followed by be careful and enjoy yourself. On the way to Northwood Hills (station) which is less than 50 metres down the carrying a full 65 litre rucksac nothings going to stop you except the floor. so so far my trip was going well. Arrived at hostel and checked into my dorm. Am sharing with 2 other people, boy and girl who's names escape me at the minute, apparently they're leaving tomorrow for Poland and are going to go to Liverpool in Novemeber. Unfortunately despite living down the road from Liverpool for the last 18 years I was unable to offer any good advice about finding cheap accommodation or anything. Spent the rest of the afternoon by the grand place which is really at sight to see (not yet uploaded photos), watched some miltary parade thingy that but after spending an hour trying to work out exactly what was going on and failing went to some concert at the cathedral. I know that its not the typical gap year, 18 year olds first days of freedom knd of thing to go and watch a couple of choirs and an organist for a couple of hours it really wasn't half bad. So there it is, not sure it was quite what I had in mind when I was planning it out in my head but it will do until I can think of something better. According to the timer at the bottom of the screen I've still got 7 minutes left so will probably continue to struggle with the @ key being in a different place but for now it is bon soir.
