Our trip today was about five hours to cover the 240 miles and fill up the Mothership. Gas was 2.59 which is a dime higher than it was in South Dakota. Here the Unleaded (87 octane) is 10 cents higher than the Super Unleaded (90 octane) as the Super Unleaded has 10% Ethanol but I just stick with the 87 octane Regular Unleaded. For about the first 100 miles today the scenery kept alternating every 20 miles between prairie, cattle and hay to cornfields. The last portion of the drive was all corn.
We are staying at Scenic Park on the Missouri River. It is a city park which is unbelievable for a city park. The sites are huge with full hookups, 60+ channel cable and great WiFi - all for $22. They have eight pull throughs and ours is at least 120 feet long and almost as wide. Our power pole has TWO 50 amp plugs - Where's my Newell??
Tomorrow we head for Tama, IA and a one-night stay at the Meskwaki Casino where they have a very nice RV Park.
