We awoke to a really beautiful blue sky this morning and I immediately dreamt of owning a nice chalet lake house! :-)

The group split today for various activities. Unsurprisingly I decided not to bunjee jump and instead decided to go for a hike alone. I wanted to keep pushing myself and nobody else seemed keen so I started out on the Singing Pass trail, up Whistler Mountain. It was a pretty steep climb and I was doing ok, but after 3 hours I hadnt' seen another living thing and with no mobile phone reception I started to get a little bit freaked out by visions of dying alone in the mountain forest so after a few pictures of a distant glacier, I headed back down. I still had time to kill so walked round the Lost Lake trail loop and had lunch on one of the pontoons in the sunshine. I had to drag myself back into town where I had a bit of a shock by bumping into one of the Aussies from my first tour. It wasn't a particularly fond reunion as I thought he was a complete tool, but I had a good excuse to go and meet my group to get out of going for drinks with him. Wierdly, once we got back to the hostel, I then bumped into another guy from the 1st tour who was just checking in. I am not sure what fate was trying to tell me with these two meetings but I chose to ignore it!

We had dinner again in Whistler town and ended up in a fun Irish pub afterwards with a live band. Although I dont ski I can imagine the apres ski here (and also I guess the skiing!) is pretty good so I may have to add this to my list of things to do so I can come back!

The evening ended again with more games of pool and Team Ginger was formed who are bound for pool domination for the rest of the trip I think.
