The Hester Family's 1st Year Adventures travel blog

Don't know what it is about the bed in that RV but I didn't fall asleep until about 2:00 and then was awaken at 3:30 due to a thunderstorm that rolled through. Since the weather outlook was calling for mostly rain -- I wasn't surprised. But, I managed to go back to sleep until about 7:30. It was still very cloudy and gloomy. Duane checked out the community breakfast and decided he wanted my cooking. So, we fixed a breakfast of eggs, bacon, and toast. Since my coffee carafe fell out of the unit on the way to Petit Jean -- I wasn't a happy camper. I finally got a cup of coffee about 10:30. Today was a seminar day for the guys. Everyone that wanted help with a project on their truck let it be known and guys went from truck to truck to help out. Duane put in new window frames and weather stripping in our truck. There was going to a pot luck dinner and I was going to prepare a banana pudding per my husband's request. We also decided to throw some burgers and Italian Sausage on the grill. Luckily, the rain that we experienced the early part of the morning disappeared and the rest of the day and the evening was very pleasant. We watched videos of previous years' get togethers and then watched a movie (The Getaway). We decided to call it a night about 10:00. We knew that we would have a busy day on Sunday since the show at the Auto Museum would start at 12:00 noon.
