I failed to take any pictures of Topsail Hill but it is a really pretty park. I will try to remember to get pictures next time. We parked on spot #90, (I think) and it was a really nice spot. We were joined by my brother and his girlfriend for the entire week. They rented a cabin that wasn't far from our campsite. Some camping friends parked across the street from us later in the week and we met our neighbors from Georgia.

We ate out too much and I think I put on ten pounds. My sister and an old highschool friend that lives in the area met us for dinner one night. That was a lot of fun, catching up with a classmate we haven't seen in over 25yrs.

We did quite a bit of diving. My brother and I dove a reef and a shipwreck (The Miss Louise) on our first day of diving. The next dive was a day trip to Ponce de Leon Florida to a natural spring that is about 55' deep. Some friends from Alabama drove over and dove with us that day along with our camping buddies. The water is a constant 68F which is really cold but tolerable in the summer heat. Our friend from Alabama hadn't dove in several years and Sauncee needed to work on her hovering so it was as much of a training dive as it was pleasure.

The last dive day was back in the Gulf, we dove some bridge rubble and a sunken barge. The water was absolutely beautiful this year and the visibility was around 80' which is great for the Gulf of Mexico. I held Sauncee's hand while we dove the Barge. I didn't want to keep checking to see where she was and she also has a habit of floating up so holding on to her was the best answer. Our friend swears up and down that she was just being lazy and I was doing all the work pulling her around.

This was my (Larry) week to lose things I guess. I lost two sets of camper keys, one set of truck keys, my drivers license, and my mask and snorkel. Most of the items were recovered but everyone got a good laugh at me losing things. We even had to get a small kid to crawl through our laundry chute and open the camper for us once.

We plan to make Topsail Hill an annual trip. This was our second trip and we can't wait to go back. We intend to meet up with our new friends from Georgia again.
