After logging over 7000 kms, we have arrived at our most easterly point on our journey across Canada from the Pacific to the Atlantic, a landmark in our Eight month road trip of discovery.
Lots to see and do in St.John's. So much of our Canadian history was established here. Historic sites, a must see will include Cape Spear, Quidi Vidi Battery, Signal Hill, the site near Cape Spear lighthouse of the most easterly land point in North America. Historic fishing harbour of Petty Harbour, not to forget the hundreds of tiny and not so tiny pubs scattered throughout downtown St.John's. We are amazed at the rugged beauty of this province. Our preconceived image of this province has totally changed. The size of the province has been a challenge. We will only experience a small portion of the sights as it would be easy to spend a couple of months rather than the two weeks as planned.
Every Canadian should at least see for themselves and experience this splendor.
