Having dinner at the Renaissance In Newarki

We have 10 excited travelers heading up to New England: Carlton & Jane Parker, Dale & Sandy Stanley, John & Mary Morrow, Lyndia Donnell, Gayla Cowan, and Boyd & Cecilia McCamish. Everyone is from Littlefield, except for the Morrow who are from Clarendon. We left Lubbock right on time this morning at 8:55 a.m. We had a nice smooth flight into DFW. We had requested wheelchairs for Lyndia and Gayla and they were waiting for us as we stepped off the plane. The attendants also called for a couple of those "people carts" that transport several folks at once quickly to another gate. So we all benefited! After arriving at our gate, we all found the McDonald's where we grabbed a snack. By the time we had finished, our plane was boarding. We actually left Dallas early, so after a 2:53 flight, we landed about 30 minutes early. We were so early that the wheelchairs were not available, so we just walked slowly to baggage claim. Everyone's baggage arrived safely. Our transfer van arrived shortly and after loading up, we headed for our hotel. It was actually only across the freeway from the airport, but we had to make about a 15 minute loop to get around to it. Our driver was a native of Brooklyn and sounded just like Sylvester Stallone when we talked. We told him we liked the way he talked and he wanted to hear us talk! After checking in, we met in the hotel restaurant for a nice dinner. Everyone was excited to get started tomorrow.
