I didn’t make it through my entire run this morning. My runs are getting longer, and there is only so much time after sunrise that it is cool enough to train. I convinced myself that running on the beach and in crazy humidity counts extra so I stopped ½ mile short. I need to figure something out before my next run, which is significantly longer.

A good thing about running in the mornings is that I see all kinds of animals that are not out in the afternoon. This morning I heard monkeys and saw their tracks all over the beach, and saw angel fish, lobsters, and giant fishing birds.

I came home and grabbed John to further investigate the tide pools for critters as we walked along the beach into town.

We didn’t find anything cool, except for Trevor and Tiffany walking back from town along the beach. After lunch John and I returned home for a swim in the pool while Tiffany and Trevor swam in the ocean. John saved a crab from the pool, and we affectionately named the lizards that regularly hang out by out pool.

I pushed myself a little too hard on my run so I spent the afternoon inside. John read and napped on the deck. I heard quite the fiesta going on outside, which is unusual for where we are staying, so I investigated and discovered Trevor and Tiffany enjoying beers with a group of guys who just arrived and are staying in a neighboring condo. John and I joined them until dinner. We hit up Cala Luna again for the delicious tempura California rolls. Lights out for me at 9:15.
