Hell-sinki - Sep 3, 2009 - Helsinki, Etelä Suomen, Finland

Not a lot to say here. It was rainy, gray and drizzly. Pretty much the same as I remember it 11 years ago. Helsinki is a nice city, and the Finns fine people, but the place seems a bit lacking after some of the other cities I've visited on this trip. One of the best things about this place was the hotel we stayed in; very central, well designed, big comfy beds and a great breakfast buffet. We had a walking tour of the city this morning, then I spent most of the day relaxing in my room watching CNN and the Discovery Channel. I'm sure that if it's sunny, I'd have a different take on things, but I really just felt like I was ready to move on. As you can tell, I really didn't take many photos. Tomorrow morning we head out for St. Petersburg bright and early.
