Avoiding Winter 2009/10 travel blog

This is our new home-away-from-home. Brother David came, inspected, photographed and approved our choice. Click on the picture to enlarge it. I think it actually turned out rather well. Maybe someday we'll be able to get the two cats, Cy and Tang, to come outside and pose as well. Then again...

We are still waiting for the hitch to come in. It is a rather important feature since it is needed for towing the PT Cruiser along with us. The hitch had been damaged before we bought the bus and the dealership is replacing it for us. Without a hitch we have a "hitch" in our plans, so we are getting just a little nervous.

We spend a lot of time in the bus and do a lot of foolish grinning. Our GPS unit is referred to as Matilda, so it stands to reason that we had to come up with a moniker for the bus. In doing David's genealogy, I had found one family having had two daughters who died in infancy. Their names were Grazilda and Jegurtha. We have been intrigued by those names and where they might have come from. Well, to keep them somewhat alive, the new bus has been christened Jegurtha - Gurty for short.

We keep finding more and more to like about Gurty and can't wait to start our adventure.

Keep your fingers crossed that we get that hitch and leave Ohio without any other type of hitch.

Peace, Judy and David
