Early rise 7.15am to coach. I skipped breaky, couldn't eat stale cereal to get to the coach early. Plus due to our location of the hotel, the bus was like a 10 min walk. We waited for ages for the bus to arrive at our stop. The reason being, bottles of alcohol (3) broke whilst Dave was driving to pick us up. This is another demonstration of the group not listening. They were told not to put their alcohol above in the open lockers, so what do they do, they leave it up there, then when we emptied the coach it all fell down. This caused us to be 1/2 hour late, and we had one very unhappy coach driver.
Whilst Dave was cleaning up the bus, we had to pack the coach. It's the least we could do. Poor Dave, there are plenty of hands to help load and unload the coach but only a few of us help the rest stand and watch...I'm the only chick who gets in there to get it done.
Anyway the boys start packing the cases in flat on their backs, I arrive a few minutes later and say, what are you guys doing. For the last 30 days they have been packed on their sides how did they not see this done!!! So i got them to take the cases off, and I started the load. Most passed comments about my loading and how much extra room we had. As we are running out of room fast from our purchases and being away for sooo long..
So the day had not yet begun...We headed for the long drive to Bulgaria.. Not much happened, we had no set stops, toilets we had to pay for, and we didn't have their currency, which made things difficult. Some girls stopped for loo break to find squat toilets and little pressies on the floor....
Crossing the border took about two hours, these Eastern countries just waste time checking passports about 4 times, before you've entered the next country. Most of the times you can buy them off...
Made our last service stop before hitting Sofia to a Mac'as.. Couldn't buy anything, no money, and wasn't worth getting any as we left the next morning. Lucky Kirsty and I have a supply of food, for those moments when we don't eat what we are given. Which is most of the time for me..
Left the stop and arrived in Sofia, completed a walking tour, supa boring.. It was 9pm when we hit the hotel and had dinner.. The hotel has been the best so far, food average..I am so carb loading...
When we arrived at the hotel, Dave our bus driver realised he'd lost his passport at the mac'as service stop..Yes could it happen twice. Calls were made to find out if it been handed in..no luck..so we have bus of 50 with no driver..what to do. Well Josh said we would still be departing at 7.15 so Kirsty and I went to bed for a peaceful night sleep.
