We went to the Dalles (pronounced Dowels) and bought two spare tires for the RV. We didn’t have a very good time in Washington so we are going to Oregon! Our first stop was at Horsetail Falls and then Multnomah Falls and we took lots of pictures.

We had a beautiful drive in the afternoon along the Columbia River. At Astoria we stopped to take a picture of the view and we heard barking – about 100 seals were in the water and sun bathing on the docks.

Next we went on to Fort Clatsop where we ended our westward trail. The park rangers dress up as Lewis and Clark interpreters. One re-enactor tried to shoot a flintlock gun. It took her four tries before she finally got it to work! After the fort we headed to the Pacific. It was 59 degrees and our feet were numb in the freezing water.

Then we crossed the Columbia River on a really tall bridge, four mile long bridge!! Next we went to a state park and saw two lighthouses.
