Well here we are in Singapore, plane trip with Jetstar was ok, didn't take long so that was a plus, on the down side, I noticed yesterday I have a sore forehead, which come from sleeping with my head on the seat in front, which is the only way I can guarantee I won't snore or dribble.

Hotel Carlton is very noice, in the business centre of Singapore, so all very posh. Cab drivers are unreal here, so polite, very talkative and informative and reasonably priced, unlike the crazy ones in Melbourne. Which Robert will be pleased to hear.

Went to the Singapore Zoo yesterday, fantastic place really. Lots of orchids as well, looking a tad tired, but still very good. Got a good pic of me with some primates, hard to pick me really.

We were getting bored yesterday, until we found Bugis Street, which had all the familiar smells which we love in Asia, bit of incense and food. Today we are in China town looking for a dvd player for our friend in Yangon. Sent Pete on a reccy to find a cheap one, they are all very modern and small, so far best price is $80.

Singapore is very modern, and yet many trees, the trip to the Zoo reminded me of going up the Kuranda Range without the windy roads, the trees are similar.

We are on the 21st floor at the Carlton so have an excellent view of the city.

Grog and cigs are more expensive here than in Australia, so no drinking for me. Been getting gorgeous Mango Smoothies. Yummo.

Tomorrow morning up early for train to Kuala Lumpur, so another Country another mile or two.
