Con2009 travel blog

We are home - actually we got home last night but I was to tired to turn on the computer. Our weather luck continued. As we were going out of Amboy, yes the garden spot of California-Amboy, we had to drive through a hail storm. (There was no Buffalo Trace involved.) We could see the rain as we were approaching Amboy and when we made the turn to go up the hill about a mile or so down the road it hit us. It was more like nickle size slushy snowballs than hard hail. At any rate I slowed way down hoping I wouldn't lose a windshield. The rest of the way in from about 29 Palms on we had to fight very heavy winds. We won that battle also and pulled into Hemet in the early evening. About 63 minutes later we had the motor home unpacked and were ready to sit down and watch a TV larger than a postage stamp. It was nice to get home and in a bed that didn't move a little from side to side. It was a wonderful trip and anytime we could pick up Conor and go, I would. Well maybe not anytime, I need a few days rest. Thanks for allowing us to share this trip with you. Take care until the next time. The next time will be in 13 days when we head for Italy. I am not sure if I will take my computer, so I might not be doing a travel blog. Bye
