Day 1- uneventful,except that we slept in and left 1 1/2 hours late! No worries--we are on holidays! Listened to satellite radio--Margaretaville Radio--most of the trip, as my cable for the Ipod doesn't go anywhere in the car. Oh well, memories of last year's Vegas trip abounded! Saw a little coyote before lunch, had sliders at White Spot in Prince George, then saw the cutest little bear cub bolting across the highway. Deer everywhere, mostly grazing in the bountiful hay fields along the way. But despite many signs saying 'moose', saw not a one. Looking forward to tomorrow, when we'll get an earlier start and maybe see one or two. We also get to the Alaska Hwy, and meet Ron at Muncho Lake. Off to dinner now, and an early start tomorrow for our longest driving day--9 hours and 2 minutes, according to Google. (How did we travel without technology in the old days??)
