Hippo heading into water

Hippos cooling off in the lake

Impalas

A baboon that came to visit us at the restaurant

We got up today at 4:30am to leave for the Akegera Game Park in the North East of Rwanda. It was a 2 hour trip to the park but was worth it. We found a pair of giraffes right inside the park boundary before we even got to the park office. During the day we saw giraffe, zebra, impala, baboons, topi, bachelor eagle, egret, hippos, water buck, fish eagles. It was a long trip but fun. We ate lunch at the hotel in the game park. After eating one of the group noticed a baboon sitting on the peak of the building next to the restaurant. I will post a few pictures once I get them downloaded for next update.

I was up early so I need to get to bed. Sorry for the lateness of the postings this time. We have had long days and I have tried to catch up on sleep. This is looking like it will be a busy week coming up.

I added a couple of my photo to this post. I am not able to upload most as I shot them in RAW format and cannot read them on this computer. These are a couple I was able to upload.
