Ocean Shores, WA – August 13-19, 2009
Temperature - 60’s – Partly Cloudy
We left Port Angeles today around 10:00 and arrived at Ocean Shores RV Park around 2:00. We drove down Highway 101 most of the way. It was a nice drive through the trees and along some lakes. Our RV park is across the highway from the ocean. We can hear the roar of the waves from our campsite. The park has a pool, kids and adult game room, spa, horseshoes, and basketball. All of the campsites are large and situated in the trees. There is a minimum of 30-40 feet of evergreen trees between each campsite so you have privacy from your neighbor. This is the best campsite so far for scenery and seclusion.
On Saturday we attended a Bluegrass Festival in Hoquiam about 15 miles away. It was held in their outdoor baseball stadium. We were there from 12-9 and were entertained by six bands. The banjo and fiddle players were great. The weather held out but it looked like rain most of the day.
We have spent some time on the beach and relaxing around the RV. We are going five miles to Copalis RV Park on the 19th and will be there for a week. Then it’s back to Ocean Shores for another week.
