|We were greeted by another cool morning today. That was OK with us, as we sat in our recliners sipping our morning coffee.
With the coffee pot empty, we got ourselves cleaned up and ready to greet the day.
I then went outdoors to do the “Dumping of the Tanks”.
Marilyn & I headed into town around 10:30 this morning.
We were aware of the cold weather we have experienced at night over the past couple of days, and the fact that we had a cold rain last evening, but we were surprised to see snow at one place, in the ditch beside the highway, as we drove toward Colorado Springs.
We recalled that when we looked out this morning, we noticed that the ground was wet. I suspect that it did snow here in the campground last night but it melted as soon as it hit the ground.
Marilyn & I decided to treat ourselves to a nice lunch at one of our favorite places, “China Wok”.
After a delicious lunch we did our shopping at the Safeway, before heading back to the resort.
We carried the groceries inside and then Jim & I set about learning to play the “Tiger Woods Tour 10” golf game. It is nothing like the other game which comes with the Wii Sports package. The scores for Jim & I reflected that also, because instead of being 10 to 15 strokes under Par, we shot a much more realistic 96 and 95, for 18 holes.
The thunder became quite loud and the dark clouds gave us a warning that some nasty weather was headed our way. Just as we finished our golf game, the rain came down.
We ran inside and I rolled up the awning.
Marilyn & I sat down to eat a snack and later, Marilyn popped some popcorn, as we sat watching the TV and relaxing.
The rain stopped and we opened some windows to allow the fresh, crisp air to flow inside.
Marilyn fixed some food to take with us tomorrow. We have an adventure planned with Jim & Linda for tomorrow and we hope to have many pictures to post for you.
But all of that must wait because we have this day to enjoy and we just don’t know for sure what adventures tomorrow has in store…..
