|We went back to Cora's for brekkie this morning and then we did some catching up with the journal in the hotel reception. We also managed a Skype session with both sets of parents and were pleased to hear that Cheese and Son had fixed our boiler that had decided to pack up while we've been away (thank you!).
Today we fancied a bit of a shop and explore, so we set off for some of the sights suggested in our Rough Guide.
We walked down Yonge St to the Eaton shopping centre, not much to see here but there was a bit of a festival going on in the square opposite with music and market stalls. We hung around here for a bit and then headed for Queen St W which is supposed to be where the smaller boutiques and bars are.
We looked in a few skate stores and then stopped for lunch in a cool little cafe with an outside eating area. We carried on up the same street and then came back via the Entertainment District where the Blue Jays area and the CN Tower, although we got slightly side-tracked from these by a snowboard shop... we didn't buy anything, despite Steve's best efforts in trying everything on.
We'd been walking around for about 4 hours by this time so we thought we deserved a pint. We ended up in The Elephant and Castle watching the round up of today's first Premiership games – you couldn't make it up! oh.. and damn you Arsenal!
A few drinks and a little snack later we had a couple of games of pool in a sports bar near our hotel and then crashed out all shopped out.
Liverpool v Spurs tomorrow... it could end in tears...!
