This must be an old KOA that they are working on putting back together. Our site was pretty level but some are in pretty rough shape plus some a really hard to get in/out of.

If you think that AL is backwards you have not been to Arkansas. We were headed out to see an old hotel and ended up going towards some really small, curvy, unpaved roads. We finally backtracked and found a paved road to get there but it was still back in the woods. It was really pretty back there and the hotel had some pretty gardens and a gazebo. The hotels name is the Crescent Hotel and it was built in 1886. The doorman was friendly as were the rest of the staff but the ghosts were not out when we were there. It was a neat old hotel on a hill and the view was gorgeous. We could even see Christ from there which was our next stop. No, not death but Christ of the Ozarks.

Christ stands seven stories tall (arm span of 65')on the top of Magnetic Mountain. He is pretty awesome and even heard a small child tell Him goodbye. Grandma then told her that she was not leaving God that she was taking a piece of Him with her. Then in the child's infinite wisdom she asked---if we all take a piece of Him with us won't He fall apart? I love children. The Christ statue is located next to the Passion Play Theater. We were allowed to see the set as the show was not on until 8:00. The set was amazing and looked like a real city. We could see the Last Supper table, Jesus' tomb, the cross and many other things that were familiar from bible stories. It was impressive. Also near there was a Bible tour area where you could see and experience bible stories.
