Today was a bit better between Matthew and David. It started with when I went into the shower. Instead of his usual wailing, Matthew just whined until I came out. We decided to go swimming in our hotel pool. We had to purchase bathing caps, which Dave was NOT happy about, but it was ok. Matthew really liked the water today! He was splashing and putting his face in! He was splashing Dave and the other people in the pool. We stayed in for about an hour. The pictures look blue becasue the room was tinted blue. Afterwards, we had a bit of lunch and then Matthew took a nap. Afterwards, we went back to the health clinic to get the TB test checked. We felt really bad for three families, because their children had "positive" tests. We weren't really sure if that was accurate because the clinic staff was measuring the tiniest bumps and if the kids had a slight bump, they had to get chest x-rays. matthew's was fine. However, matthew did receive three vaccination shots today. One shot in both arms and one shot on one of his legs. He wasn't very happy. We were supposed to go to a museum afterwards, but it is so darn hot here that everyone asked if we could go back to the hotel. Once back at the hotel, we refreshed ourselves and then it was out for a group dinner at a Thai restaurant with dancing and singing waiters! A lot of fun! Guess what - on the bus on the way there, Matt loves to see the buses and trucks and babbles and points to them whenever we pass them. I told him "bus" after we saw several buses, and then he said "bus!" I was so proud of my boy! He can also say "bye bye" because whenever we leave the hotel or a store or a restaurant, he tells everyone around us "bye bye" and waves. He is a good boy, but all boy. He enjoys throwing things and pulling on my hair. When I tell him "NO" he laughs at me and shakes his head no! After dinner, we walked back to the hotel and gave Matt a bath and put him to bed. That is why I am writing this so late - very busy day. Anyway, like I said, today was a bit better between Dave and Matthew. Matthew allowed him to carry him for about five minutes without crying and then when he did, it was just whining. I told Dave it is good progress. Dave doesn't believe me though! I left the two of them in the room to write in the journal. It will be interesting to see if Matthew fell asleep or if he is continuing to cry/whine. Tomorrow is our consulate appointment and we have to stay in our hotel room from 9:30am to 11:30am in case of any questions with our paperwork. Then we will have a group photo. Then Dave and I will go back to Shamien Island for some shopping. There are four families that are leaving tomorrow. Don't know how they got to leave a bit early, but the countdown has really begun!
