Jasper is Canada's largest national park and also one of the most visited. It is located in the Canadian Rockies. This is a truly spectacular park, it is comprised of beautiful mountains covered in snow with glaciers doting the landscape and waterfalls everywhere. We spent several days touring the park, hiking and taking pictures. The only thing we didn't like about the park is the cost of entering and camping. It costs $9 per day per person to enter the park and $27 per day to dry camp (no services). Diesel in Jasper was selling at $1.40 per liter(3.8 liters per gallon)or over $5 per gallon. Other than these costs the park is one of the best we have visited since we have been on the road.

In addition to the waterfalls the most spectacular area in Jasper are the ice fields. You drive on the Icefields Parkway south towards Banff. As you ride along you wind thru mountains and valleys with huge glaciers, rushing rivers and just incredible scenery. Along the way we stopped and hiked up to one of the glaciers, it is huge. so large in fact you can take a Sno-coach tour of it, this coach takes you to the top of the glacier.

We had a great time visiting Jasper
