We headed north on July 31 for R&R at Mary and Ken's (from Schaumburg, IL) cabin for 3 days. I went to a classic car dealer and junk yard. I’ve never seen one before. Mostly American car and pickup trucks from 40’s, 50’s and 60’s, a few Brit sports cars (TR4 like I owned in college, a Jaguar XKE, and a skeleton of an MGB) and a pink Cadillac 1958). We went for a walk along the old railroad line from Chicago through the lakes, bogs, and freshwater marshes and saw a couple of eagles. We took a spin on a pontoon boat on Lake Katherine where Mary & Ken's cabin is located. We saw a couple of eagles and some loons. We’ve seen more eagles on this trip than I think we saw in Alaska.
