The past few days have been an overdose for our senses. I believe we can only absorb so much and hope that we will remember more later. Denali was even more awesome this trip. We were fortunate to have a window of great weather without wind. Thus--we had views that were not only breathtaking, but complete from top to bottom. We stayed in a campground in the National Park. Quiet is a word that can best be defined by "Denali National Park Campground at Riley Creek." We hated to leave the next day. We can't wait to share the whole experience with all of you. The bears, moose, caribou, wolves, coyotes--and whatever else. Yesterday we went to Fairbanks. Even to North Pole, Alaska. Wandered about the towns and then splurged on our first really nice meal. Alaska Salmon Bake. Salmon, halibut, cod, prime rib, salads, and pound cake with fresh blueberry sauce. This morning we woke up to find ashes on our truck and we could see particles of ash in the air. Nasty stuff. But after we drove a few hours, things started to clear. Now we are back in Tok. Don't know route after this, but will head to Skagway in a few days. Now I am going to sit outside and enjoy the day.
