I think this is Holgate Glacier

more of the glacier

and the rest

birds at the glacier ( the little white things )

I was really looking forward to the cruise to Kenai Fjords National Park (Exit Glacier is the only part of this park that you can drive to). I've seen others pictures of it and heard how beautiful it is and all the animal life you see along the way. It was still white outside when we left. We got to Renown Tours and were told the swells were high and they didn't know if they'd be able to make it all the way to the glacier. We could get our money back or try the next day (it was supposed to be a bit better, but no guarantees of course). Since we were ready to go, we decided to go for it along with quite a few others.

They had seasick pills on board if you felt the need for them. Hal and I had never been sick on a boat before and had no worries. Towards the end of the bay we stopped to watch a whale. That was fun watching it come up and then show it's tail. I didn't bother to grab the camera - it was too neat just to watch it. After leaving the bay, it got kind of rough and people starting throwing up. We still thought it was swell, except it would have been nice not to have such a foggy and rainy day. Then I started thinking I didn't feel so good and bam... Was I sick! I spent the rest of cruise changing bags and huddled up against Hal. The young guys that work on the boat could not have given us wrecks better attention. They were always there to take your bag and give you a new one and help in any other way they could. There were announcements of other sightings (another whale, puffins, another sea otter-saw one in the bay too-, and maybe a few others), but I never got up again and Hal stayed with me. I was very grateful he was there. Christian was all over the boat, talked with I think everyone working on it, got soaking wet, and had a great time. Every time I saw him, he had a big smile on his face and was off to something else. It never cleared up or stopped raining. I put up the few pictures I took.
