We were up and ready early and began our exit of South Dakota. With all the rain we have indured I feel like a soggy sponge.
As we headed south, the weather and the scenery changed dramatically. As we entered Nebraska I couldn't help notice how green it was. My past experience with Nebraska was heading east on I-80 and cornfields, so I was shocked to see such beauty.
I had done some research looking for free RV sites for the night as we traveled south.
I had bought a free campgrounds CD at Life on Wheels from Nick Russell back in 2007. I was hoping the info was still current as I had forgotten to buy a new one while we were at his rally this past February. As luck would have it, the info and the park were correct.
We found the park with very little effort. As we pulled in we could see the front part of the park was being decorated for a afternoon wedding. It was a gorgeous wedding and the bride was beautiful.
We found the site with the electricity and to my surprise it was 50 amp. There was water, dump, trash cans and bathrooms. This is such a beautiful park and it was free.
We had a wonderful evening........of course we could hear the trains off in the distance but it was not bad at all.
Until next time........
