Jul 21st Travel day from San Ignacio to Belize City and then just catch the 9am ferry to Caye Caulker (the more chilled out and less developed of the local Islands). Much more of a Caribbean feel to the place Rastas, golf buggies as taxis and three main sand roads. Head off to the split where we were to eat food on the submerged benches. Not sure if they left them there after the hurricane or just thought it looked cool?
Book on the dive trip to Blue Hole 380 Belize dollars for three dives... lets hope they are good. Send stuff to UK which turned out more challenging than I anticipated as no one seemed to understand the words 'Box' or 'brown wrapping paper'. It is an English speaking country but most of the shops are owned by Chinese. Eventually get what I want (note Stationers in the Lumber yard of all places! and no one there to pay....had to do this down the road!...very laid back) send to UK for 175 Bdollars.....ouch! but now 6kg lighter. Can now buy another 6kg of souvenirs. Yippee.
