Today was a travel day. Because we're headed to the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) Convention where there will be thousands of RV'ers attending, our group was given a time to enter our parking area of 10am. As we were 3 hours away, that meant we had to get up REALLY early.
We left Bremen, IN at 6:45am in the rain, stopped for fuel and we were on our way with Les and Suzanne as the Wagon Masters (leaders), Ed and Rose Mary in the center and Jay and I as Tail Gunners.
It was an easy drive following U.S. 6 straight into Bowling Green through lots of farm land and small towns. With it being Saturday, it was a particularly easy drive except for some rain that was coming down as we left and also some along the way.
But by the time we got to Bowling Green, the sun was out. We got parked and got set up looking forward to several days full of lots of fun.
Tomorrow the town of Bowling Green is throwing a party for FMCA downtown and then Monday our seminars start.
Today we just settled in and then met as a group, including Bill and Maryann, and shared appetizers for dinner.
It should be a fun week.
