On July 14th we left the lovely city of Truro and travelled north to Cape Breton Island (on the northern end of Nova Scotia). We stayed on St Anne's Bay which was a convenient location for our ride the next day on the Cabot Trail. This Trail has been called one of the world's most scenic drives. As you can see from the pictures the terrain offers many majestic views (ocean, bays, mountains, sharp turns, steep descents) all making for great motorcycle riding. The Trail is about 180 miles. It took us about six hours to complete. It was really beautiful. The temperature remained in the low to the mid-sixties (this is the way it has been for most of our trip with the temperature even dipping into the fifties). After our ride we headed into North Sydney for the ferry into New Foundland (next entry).
